Spiros’ key experience and expertise includes:
International Business: Managed the international procurement of locally manufactured heliostats from Heliostat SA, a CSIRO technology licensee, on behalf of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems of Japan, for their hybrid solar thermal research project in Japan.
International Research: Facilitated the establishment of the high temperature solar thermal energy research project between CSIRO and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan.
Investments: Supported the investment and the establishment of the Hirotec Australia component manufacturing facility in South Australia.
Acquisitions: Supported the Mitsubishi Corporation led consortium in their successful acquisition of United Utilities Australia Ltd, Australia’s second largest independent water services company, with 60 operational water treatment facilities.
Business Development: Identified an innovative opportunity to produce and export renewable hydrogen from the Pilbara to Japan; involving an international partnership between a local energy innovation company and Mitsubishi Corporation.
Feasibility Studies: Prepared renewable energy feasibility studies to displace fossil fuel power at Trility’s Victor Harbor Waste Water Treatment Plant, Hirotec Australia’s facility in South Australia and Cape Flattery Silica Mine’s operations in northern Queensland.
Climate Change Policies: Provided consultative services to Mitsubishi Corporation’s investment and business teams and affiliated subsidiaries.
